A travelling coach, not a fixed venue
Olga does not run her own courts in St Albans. What she does instead is travel: she lives in Wheathampstead, just north of the city, and goes to wherever you already play. That might be your club, if you can book court time, or a court at your house.
It is a practical arrangement for St Albans players. You keep playing where you are comfortable and already a member, and the coaching comes to you rather than you adding a drive to every session.
What a lesson looks like
Olga will usually spend the first part of a first session just watching you hit, because most problems are easier to see than to describe. After that the work is specific: a grip that is making a shot harder than it needs to be, footwork that leaves you reaching, a serve that has drifted.
She has been coaching for over thirty-five years and spent ten of them as Head Coach at the St Petersburg Tennis Academy, so the technical eye is the strong part. But most of her week now is club players and improvers, not prospects, and the coaching is pitched accordingly.
Groups and families
Group sessions are the good-value option and work well if you can get two or three people together, which in St Albans usually means friends from the same club or a family wanting to play together. The more players, the less it costs each. Prices are here.
